Project Objective

What get’s measured get’s done. Worked collaboratively with an organization that sought to create a common understanding of work expectations, encourage teamwork and problem solving and align the focus and performance of the organization.

  • Use of design principles to identify a few key measures

  • Build reflection, adaptability and an openness to refining the measures.

Outcomes

Common performance measures that are aligned from the front line to the executive. A common understanding of the time and quality components of work. A culture of conversation and continuous improvement.

Project Objective

To align the business and technology strategies and plans in order to modernize the organization. This included a the development of a joint 5 year business/technology strategy broken down by technology, business process, culture and business management.

Key Success Factors

  • Shared purpose between business and technology goals

  • Working sessions with Business and IT executive and staff.

  • Understanding the relationship between technology, business processes, people and culture and management and how they must move together to create a high performance organization.

  • Grounding everyone in common and simple terminology

Technologies and tools

  • Strategy / technology current state assessment and future state design.

  • Prioritization of the opportunities using analytics (e.g., speed of implementation vs. value to the business) and financial prudence (e.g., the return on investments vs. risk).

  • Kotter’s 8 step change model.

  • A prioritized and actionable 5 year roadmap.

Outcomes

A clearly aligned business/technology strategy and 3 year roadmap to align the technology and business. Laid the foundation for a strong and productive relationship between the business and technology.

Project Objective

To develop a future state strategy and 5 year transformational roadmap to transform an organization from a stagnant organization with high turnover and inconsistent expectations to an organization that is leading in it’s field.

  • Obtaining internal and external perspectives of the organization

  • A desire to ‘get it right’

  • A well defined strategy with supporting performance measures

Outcomes

The leadership had a common understanding of where it is today and where it needs to be in the future. The organization has a clear strategy and 5 year roadmap to go from a stagnant organization to one that will be a leader it it’s field.
